UAE Welcomes Historic Peace Agreement Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the announcement of the historic peace agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, describing it as a significant diplomatic milestone that underscores the success of dialogue and the principles of good neighbourliness and peaceful coexistence.
Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State, lauded the leadership and wisdom of Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, in their pursuit of peace.
He emphasised that the agreement reflects the strong determination and steadfast commitment of both parties to peaceful solutions and dialogue, highlighting the importance of collective action in addressing regional challenges and resolving disputes through diplomatic channels.
Al Sayegh commended the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump in facilitating this positive and constructive achievement, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to fostering partnerships and dialogue, and supporting all initiatives that contribute to security and stability in the Caucasus region.
He further underscored the UAE’s long-standing relations with both Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing the country’s belief in the importance of ushering in a new era of constructive cooperation to promote growth, prosperity, and regional development for the benefit of both peoples.
