United States Supports Humanitarian Efforts of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The United States expressed strong support for the humanitarian initiatives of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship during a meeting between US Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood, and the foundation’s Vice President for Medical Affairs, Oguljahan Atabayeva, on Thursday in Arkadag.
Ambassador Rood reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to collaborating on this noble cause, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in supporting the foundation’s mission. As reported by Turkmenistan’s official media, the discussion focused on the foundation’s ongoing efforts to provide medical aid to children in need, both within Turkmenistan and globally.
Established in March 2021 at the initiative of the Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty, the foundation has played a vital role in supporting children in need of guardianship, providing assistance both domestically and abroad. Rood praised the foundation’s significant contributions to child welfare and its role in fostering stronger international ties.
The meeting also addressed the upcoming fourth anniversary of the foundation and the preparations for upcoming international events. Discussions included the foundation’s potential cooperation with global organizations, particularly UNICEF, to further its humanitarian efforts.
Since its establishment, the foundation has provided vital aid to children affected by natural disasters in various countries and has facilitated medical treatment for children in Turkmenistan who are in need of urgent care.
