US Delegation Led by Vice President JD Vance Departs Without Deal After Islamabad Talks

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The United States delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, has departed Islamabad following the conclusion of high-level negotiations, returning to Washington without reaching a final agreement.
Prior to departure, Vice President Vance addressed a press conference, confirming that despite extensive discussions, no deal had been finalized. He stated that Iran had declined to accept the conditions put forward by the United States.
“We have not yet reached a final agreement and are returning without a deal,” Vance said, noting that multiple key issues were discussed during the talks.
He emphasized that the US delegation participated in the talks in good faith and demonstrated flexibility throughout the negotiation process. “We engaged constructively and showed willingness to find common ground,” he added.
The talks, widely viewed as a significant diplomatic effort, focused on resolving critical issues between Washington and Tehran. However, despite detailed deliberations, differences persisted, preventing a breakthrough in this round of negotiations.
The departure of the US delegation marks the conclusion of the latest phase of the Islamabad Talks, with both sides expected to reassess their positions moving forward.
