Uzbek President congratulates entrepreneurs on "Entrepreneurs Day in Uzbekistan"

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The International Congress Center hosts an open dialogue between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and entrepreneurs.

The first such meeting was organized on August 20, 2021. At the suggestion of the Head of state, this format has become traditional, and this day is defined as Entrepreneurs Day in Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated businesspeople on the holiday, expressing his respect and best wishes.

“Entrepreneurs have always been a great force in every country. In Uzbekistan, we are taking measures to develop the economy, create jobs, reduce poverty, and improve mahallas. Who contributes the most to this? Entrepreneurs! Each of you is a hero. We are proud of you”, the Head of state said.

It was noted that due to the created conditions, business is developing dynamically. Over the past year, the number of small entrepreneurs increased by 40,000, medium – by 2,000, and large – by 400. Due to the benefits provided, the annual turnover of 155 enterprises exceeded $100 million. The volume of annual foreign investments for the first time reached $10 billion.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 18, 44 of our compatriots who distinguished themselves in increasing the country’s economic power and the population’s welfare were awarded state awards. The solemn presentation of orders and medals to their owners took place at the event.

126 active entrepreneurs were awarded the “Faol Tadbirkor” (Active Entrepreneur) badge by the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 17.
