Uzbek President Receives Omani Minister to Boost Trade and Investment Cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, who is visiting Tashkent to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
At the outset of the meeting, Minister Al Yousef conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said to President Mirziyoyev, reaffirming the friendly and cooperative ties between the two nations.
The discussions centered on the further expansion of practical cooperation, with particular emphasis on trade, economic, and investment engagement. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing dynamics of bilateral contacts at various levels.
In this context, it was noted that the upcoming session of the Uzbekistan–Oman Intergovernmental Commission and scheduled business-to-business meetings, to be held on the sidelines of the forum, would serve as important platforms for advancing mutual interests.
Special attention was given to the promotion of joint projects in key sectors such as energy, geology, food processing, textiles, the chemical industry, transport and logistics, tourism, and finance. The role of the Uzbekistan–Oman Investment Company in supporting and facilitating these initiatives was highlighted as a significant instrument for deepening cooperation.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment of Uzbekistan and Oman to strengthening their strategic partnership and unlocking new opportunities for sustainable development and prosperity.
