Uzbek Senate Chairperson Holds Meeting with Omani Counterpart on the Sidelines of 150th IPU Assembly

Geneva, The Gulf Observer: On the margins of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a meeting with Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Sultanate of Oman, Nasser Al-Mawali.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for intensifying interparliamentary dialogue between Uzbekistan and Oman. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of organizing reciprocal visits, facilitating the exchange of legislative experience, and strengthening cooperation between relevant parliamentary committees.

Both sides underscored the value of deepening bilateral relations through the establishment of robust and institutionalized ties. In this context, they exchanged views on the implementation of practical projects aimed at enhancing cooperation among friendship groups, specialized committees, and parliamentary offices.

The meeting reaffirmed the mutual interest of Uzbekistan and Oman in developing a dynamic and constructive interparliamentary partnership, serving as a foundation for broader cooperation between the two countries.
