Uzbekistan Airways Expands Flight Connectivity Between Uzbekistan and Pakistan

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan and Pakistan are set to further enhance their connectivity with an increase in direct flights between the two countries, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan announced.
Beginning October 28, 2025, Uzbekistan Airways will expand its Tashkent–Islamabad–Tashkent service from one to two weekly flights. Currently operating every Saturday, the route will also include a regular Tuesday flight, providing greater convenience for travelers between the two capitals.
In addition to the enhanced Islamabad route, Uzbekistan Airways already operates biweekly flights between Tashkent and Lahore on Wednesdays and Fridays. With the new schedule, the total number of flights linking Uzbekistan to Pakistan will reach four per week.
According to officials, passenger demand on these routes has been consistently high, with flights operating at full capacity and tickets selling out in advance — a reflection of the growing need for direct air connectivity between the two nations.
The expansion is seen as a significant step in strengthening the friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. It is expected to provide broader opportunities for business, tourism, cultural exchange, and mutual visits, while also ensuring easier access to global destinations through Tashkent International Airport.
The initiative underscores the commitment of both countries to deepen ties and foster closer cooperation, highlighting the role of direct air links as an investment in the future of their bilateral relations.
