Uzbekistan Airways operates first flight to Dubai from Ferghana
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan Airways operated its first flight on the Ferghana-Dubai-Ferghana route on 30 October 2022. This flight was carried out on an Airbus 320 aircraft, commanded by Ruslan Mustafayev, and transported 135 passengers to Dubai International Airport.
A solemn event in honor of the opening of the first Ferghana-Dubai flight was held at the Ferghana International Airport. The participants of this solemn event were employees of the territorial Department of Transport, travel agents, bloggers and representatives of the media and Uzbekistan Airways, as well as passengers.
The opening of this flight was the third stage in the development of the Vostochny hub. As demand for flights from the Ferghana Valley grows, Uzbekistan Airways began developing the Vostochny hub in January 2022. The main goal of this hub is to create comfortable and favorable conditions for those departing from Namangan and Ferghana. It is also worth noting that flights from Namangan are operated on the principle of Full Economy (full economy class) air transportation on Uzbekistan Airways Express aircraft.
The increase in flights from Uzbekistan to the UAE will serve to strengthen interstate relations in the fields of economy, cultural and humanitarian relations, transport and logistics, and to exchange experience in the field of tourism. And attracting tourists to the Ferghana Valley will provide an opportunity to improve infrastructure and tourism in this region.
In addition to the fact that from 30 October 2022, Uzbekistan Airways launches flights on the new international route Ferghana-Dubai-Ferghana, it is important to note that today the airline operates regular flights from Tashkent to Dubai and back 7 times a week. And also from October 31, 2022, the airline increases the number of direct regular flights on the route Tashkent – Sharjah – Tashkent up to 3 times a week. Flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
