Uzbekistan and Japan Promote Tourism Potential at Joint Event

Tokyo, The Gulf Observer: The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, in collaboration with Hankyu Travel International, hosted a special event highlighting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
The presentation, dedicated to showcasing Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, provided detailed information about the country’s historical monuments and structures that are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Attendees gained insights into the significance of Uzbekistan’s ancient cities, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz, and Termez, which are key attractions for international travelers.
In addition to discussing Uzbekistan’s historical treasures, the event also featured the country’s unique traditions, culinary offerings, and diverse tourist routes that are of particular interest to Japanese tourists.
A “tourist corner” was set up at the event, offering visitors guidebooks and maps in Japanese, enabling them to learn more about Uzbekistan’s attractions and plan potential visits. The event was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Japan, encouraging greater cultural exchange and tourism collaboration.
