Uzbekistan and Qatar Leaders Hold Talks to Boost Strategic Partnership and Economic Cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on July 7 to discuss the further development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two nations.

During the conversation, the two leaders conducted a comprehensive exchange of views on expanding multifaceted practical cooperation across key sectors, including trade, investment, industry, and infrastructure development.

President Mirziyoyev expressed high appreciation for the Amir of Qatar’s proactive efforts in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, noting Qatar’s constructive role in regional diplomacy and humanitarian initiatives.

The leaders welcomed the recent intensification of bilateral contacts and exchanges, highlighting the positive momentum in diplomatic, economic, and cultural engagement. They observed with satisfaction the dynamic growth of mutual trade and investment flows, as well as the active implementation of joint projects in industrial cooperation and infrastructure modernization.

In this context, both sides emphasized the importance of ensuring the successful organization of upcoming high-level bilateral events. These include the inaugural meeting of the Coordination Council co-chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, as well as sessions of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Business Council, and a joint business forum aimed at fostering private sector collaboration.

President Mirziyoyev and Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also reviewed the schedule of forthcoming high-level events, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
