Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan universities establish collaboration

Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: The delegation led by the Deputy Vice Rector for International Affairs at the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry Ulviyya Abbasova arrived at Samarkand State University.
The purpose of the visit is to establish international relations and discuss the joint implementation of Teaching Mobility and Staff Mobility projects within the framework of the Erasmus program.

The high-ranking guests met with the Vice Rector for International Cooperation of the Samarkand State University, Professor Akmal Akhatov. During the conversation, the parties focused on implementing work on grant projects in the educational sphere and establishing student exchange.

An agreement was reached on active cooperation in information technology, geology, chemistry-technology, mechanics, and economics. The possibilities of academic exchange between teaching staff and students were considered.

Issues of attracting leading specialists in geology and mechanics of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry to work at the Samarkand State University were also discussed at the meeting. An agreement was reached to send Uzbekistan teachers for a short-term internship in Baku to study the experience of the Azerbaijani-French University at the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry.
