Uzbekistan, Belarus agree to actively involve women in entrepreneurship

Minsk, The Gulf Observer: The delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, who is on an official visit to Minsk, met with the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko.
According to the upper house of the Parliament, during the talks, it was noted that friendship and multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus had reached a new level thanks to establishing a high-level dialogue based on mutual trust in recent years.
Trade and economic cooperation is being strengthened. The trade turnover has increased significantly in recent years, exceeding $500 million in 2022. Since the beginning of this year, it has grown by another 37%. It was emphasized that it is necessary to establish joint work at the legislative level to bring bilateral trade to $1 billion.
At the meeting, it was noted that both sides are interested in enhancing cooperation and promoting promising projects in various sectors of the economy, as well as strengthening interregional ties and cultural and humanitarian exchange.
It was emphasized that cultural and humanitarian ties are successfully developing. Representatives of the two countries are participating actively in the Culture Days organized in both countries, various concerts, festivals and competitions, and sporting events. The need to continue conducting short-term internships for young scientists in scientific organizations of the two countries was noted.
Following the dialogue, it was decided to consider developing and implementing a joint plan of practical measures to actively involve women in entrepreneurship, innovation, IT, and biotechnology and train them in modern professions.
