Lahore/Okara, The Gulf Observer: An official delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhobov, visited Pakistan’s key agro-industrial hubs of Lahore and Okara on February 19–20 to study the country’s advanced experience in meat and potato production and to pave the way for new joint projects and investments.
The visit, organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, brought together representatives from Uzbekistan’s banking sector, agriculture, veterinary, and quarantine services. The primary objective was to examine Pakistan’s modern production technologies and establish concrete agreements for launching meat and potato production projects in Uzbekistan in line with international standards.
During the visit, the delegation held extensive and productive negotiations with the leadership of leading Pakistani companies, including Zenith, Tazij Meats, Abedin International, Anis Associates, Go Food, and Quality Meat. These firms specialize in meat production and exports and are recognized for their expertise in livestock management and supply chain systems.

As a result of the meetings, both sides agreed to prepare detailed commercial proposals aimed at expanding Uzbekistan’s livestock sector and increasing its meat production capacity.
On the second day, the Uzbek delegation visited prominent Pakistani companies engaged in potato cultivation and export, including Chase International, FFF Traders, Al Khas Trading, Jamshaid Traders, and Madina Enterprises. The discussions centered on the exchange of modern agricultural technologies, improved cultivation methods, and quality enhancement measures.
Both sides agreed to expand cooperation and implement joint projects to increase potato production in various regions of Uzbekistan, improve product quality, and strengthen national food security. Concrete agreements were reached to initiate potato cultivation projects in Uzbekistan based on Pakistan’s advanced agricultural experience.
