Uzbekistan Highlights Digital Solutions for Women’s Rights at UN Session

New York, The Gulf Observer: A representative of Uzbekistan delivered a speech at a side event held during the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, highlighting the country’s efforts to promote gender equality and protect women’s rights through digital technologies.
The event, titled “Harnessing Digital and Intelligent Tech for Women’s Rights Protection,” took place on March 11 and was co-organized by China, Malaysia, and Egypt, along with United Nations entities UN Women and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
During the session, Dilnoza Muratova, Deputy Director of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, presented Uzbekistan’s experience in advancing gender equality, safeguarding women’s rights, and expanding opportunities for women amid the country’s ongoing digital transformation.
In her remarks, Muratova outlined various initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional mechanisms for the protection of women’s rights and enhancing their participation in social and economic life through the use of modern technologies.
The event also featured an exchange of international best practices on the use of artificial intelligence, big data, and other digital solutions to improve the protection of women’s rights, enhance the quality of social services, and expand women’s economic opportunities.
Participants emphasized the growing role of digital and intelligent technologies in supporting inclusive development and empowering women worldwide.
