Uzbekistan increases electricity imports from Turkmenistan

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan has increased the daily volume of electricity imports from Turkmenistan, the press service of the Energy Ministry reported. Daily electricity imports increased by an average of 2-3 million kWh.
In order to increase the volume of electricity supply to consumers, the daily import from the Turkmenenergo corporation has been increased from 17-18 million kWh to 20-21 million kWh.
Earlier, it was reported that due to a decrease in air temperature in Uzbekistan, the volume of gas production and, as a result, the volume of electricity generation at power plants decreased. In this situation, an instruction was given to save the supplied electricity and, as a limitation, introduce a rolling blackout lasting no more than 2 hours.
