Uzbekistan, Indonesia discuss Interparliamentary ties

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on Defense and Security E. Salikhov and a group of deputies met with members of the delegation led by the Chairperson of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Fadli Zon, in Uzbekistan.

Members of the delegation were informed about the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, work to ensure the protection of human rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests, the accelerated development of economic sectors, entrepreneurship, and tourism infrastructure, and the adaptation of the quality of education to world standards.

The guests were also informed about the main activities of the Legislative Chamber.

Views were exchanged on strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and further developing cooperation in tourism, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
