Uzbekistan joins EPO
Geneva, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzraf Ikramov met with the President of the Eurasian Patent Office of the EPO – European Patent Organization Grigory Ivliev, in Geneva.
Mr. Ikramov informed about the emerging innovation environment, conditions created in Uzbekistan for inventors, and amendments to the legislation to simplify the registration of intellectual property objects.
Mr. Ivliev spoke about the role of Uzbekistan in the region, its innovative potential, and the importance of activities carried out in the member states of the Eurasian Patent Organization.
Uzbekistan’s membership in the Eurasian Patent Organization will contribute to the country’s international integration and simplify the process of obtaining patents for inventions by the population at the regional level.
Following the meeting, it was decided to develop a Memorandum of Cooperation and consider membership in the Eurasian Patent Organization.
