Uzbekistan–Pakistan Ties Enter New Phase Following High-Level Talks

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: A significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations was marked during an important and constructive meeting between Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and senior representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the discussion, the two sides comprehensively reviewed the outcomes of the recent historic and result-oriented state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pakistan. They also examined practical measures to ensure the effective and timely implementation of agreements reached at the highest level between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
Particular attention was devoted to prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation in key priority areas, including trade and investment, industrial collaboration, agriculture, transport connectivity, information technology, tourism, education, and humanitarian exchanges. Both sides underscored the importance of translating strategic understandings into tangible outcomes that deliver mutual economic and social benefits.
It was emphasized that the agreements concluded at the leadership level have laid a solid and long-term foundation for elevating Uzbekistan–Pakistan relations to a qualitatively new, practical, and forward-looking stage. The enhanced partnership is expected to serve the fundamental interests of the peoples of both countries and contribute positively to regional connectivity and development.
