Uzbekistan, Serbia to enhance trade, economic cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Foreign Affairs Ministries of Uzbekistan and Serbia held consultations via videoconference.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation in trade-economic, investment and IT spheres.

Particular attention was paid to deepening economic diplomacy by establishing and expanding direct relations between business entities of the two countries, implementing joint investment projects using all its possibilities.

During the consultations, the issues of expanding the contractual and legal framework of Uzbekistan-Serbia cooperation through relevant and practical documents in the trade and economic sphere were also discussed.

In order to activate business relations, the parties agreed to hold an exhibition of Uzbek products under the trade name Made in Uzbekistan in Belgrade in 2023, to organize a trip of the Serbian trade mission to Uzbekistan to participate in large textile and food exhibitions, and to work out the issues of establishing an Uzbek-Serbian trade house.
