Uzbekistan Shines at 32nd Shoes & Leather Expo in Guangzhou

Guangzhou, The Gulf Observer: The Consulate General of Uzbekistan successfully organized the national stand at the 32nd International Exhibition on Shoes & Leather Industry in Guangzhou, an event that attracted over 1,000 exhibitors from China and approximately 20 foreign companies. This prestigious event is a key platform for showcasing a wide array of components and technologies related to the advanced manufacturing of shoes and leather products.
The exhibition featured cutting-edge shoe manufacturing machines, precision cutting equipment, various leather and synthetic leather materials, innovative sewing technology, automated production lines, chemical products, raw materials, clothing, 3D printing equipment, and much more. This year, Uzbekistan’s stand drew significant attention by prominently displaying the country’s export products, particularly semi-finished leather items. This presentation not only highlighted the nation’s prowess in the leather industry but also underscored the attractive investment environment in Uzbekistan. Additionally, the stand featured an array of leather handicrafts and other national goods, offering a glimpse into Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage.
A delegation of around 20 Uzbek enterprises, led by the deputy chairman of the “Uzcharmsanoat” Association, visited Guangdong. During their visit, they engaged deeply with the latest technological advancements and proposals in the sector, enhancing their understanding of new industry trends and innovations being pioneered in China. These interactions were pivotal in forging preliminary negotiations with Chinese manufacturers concerning potential joint projects in Uzbekistan.
Notable meetings included discussions with Gao Fen, chairman of the Canton Enterprise Import & Export Chamber of Commerce (CECOC), and Kong Bin, CEO of LIUCHEN SPORTS TECHNOLOGY. During these meetings, the investment potential and opportunities within Uzbekistan’s leather industry were thoroughly presented. These engagements culminated in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the “Uzcharmsanoat” Association and CECOC, laying the groundwork for future collaborations. Additionally, an invitation was extended to the head of LIUCHEN SPORTS TECHNOLOGY to visit Uzbekistan for further exploration of investment opportunities and market research.
This participation at the 32nd International Exhibition not only fortified Uzbekistan’s presence in the global leather industry but also opened new avenues for international cooperation and investment, reinforcing the country’s commitment to advancing its leather sector through innovation and strategic partnerships.
