Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum Promotes Collaboration in Tashkent
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The city of Tashkent recently hosted the Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum, a collaborative platform organized to deliberate on key aspects of higher education in Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, and the global context. The forum aimed to facilitate discussions on priority areas, methodologies, and implementation strategies through transnational cooperation.
The event, conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Westminster International University in Tashkent, the British Council, and the University of Westminster, witnessed the participation of representatives from approximately 20 UK higher education institutions and centers, alongside influential experts in the field.
Central to the forum’s agenda was a comprehensive examination of the higher education policies, cooperation frameworks, and practical experiences of both Uzbekistan and the UK. The discussions revolved around fostering collaborative initiatives to enhance the quality and scope of higher education in both nations.
A significant milestone during the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the British Quality Assurance Agency. Additionally, more than 30 agreements were inked with various partner organizations, underscoring the commitment to robust collaboration and mutual advancement in the realm of education.
The Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum serves as a testament to the growing emphasis on international partnerships and collaborative efforts in higher education.
