Uzbekistan’s FM hosts Chinese Ambassador to discuss cooperation issues
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Yan.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development.
In particular, the sides highly appreciated the results of the agreements reached within the framework of the Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit to Uzbekistan to participate in the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
Special attention was paid to preparations for upcoming joint events, including within the framework of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the SCO.
Other issues of mutual interest were also considered during the talks.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan issued a statement saying the republic supports One China Policy. It came in response to the recent development of the situation around Taiwan.
