SCO Summit participants plant trees in Samarkand
Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: Trees planting ceremony was held in Samarkand in connection with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
After bilateral talks, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan have planted trees in the Great Silk Road International Tourist Center.
“In culture of nations of the East, the tradition of tree planting is associated with good intentions and undertakings. In this sense, the trees planted by the leaders of our friendly countries are symbol of friendship, good neighborliness and common intentions of SCO member states towards development and prosperity,” the Uzbek president’s press service said.
