Tashkent, The Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The counterparts reviewed the current agenda of bilateral strategic partnership and alliance ties and exchanged views on regional cooperation.

The parties reportedly focused on the implementation of agreements at the highest level, in particular, the promotion of priority cooperation projects at the level of regions and businesses in Uzbekistan and Russia.

This autumn, it is planned to hold the third Uzbek-Russian Forum of Provinces. The implementation of important investment projects and cultural and humanitarian programs is ongoing.

The two leaders stressed the need to expand multifaceted cooperation between the countries and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.

The heads of state touched on the issues of organizing and holding the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in September this year in Samarkand.
