Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Engages in High-Level Meetings in Seoul
Seoul, The Gulf Observer: In a recent working visit to Seoul, the Uzbek delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov engaged in high-level discussions with South Korean business leaders and government officials, reinforcing Uzbekistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral economic partnerships.
During the visit, Minister Saidov met with key figures from leading South Korean corporations, including CJ Group, Youngone Corporation, Hyundai Motor Group, as well as representatives from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI). “We held productive meetings with the leadership of CJ Group, Youngone Corporation, Hyundai Motor Group, the Economic Development Cooperation Fund, and the Federation of Korean Industries. We discussed the implementation of existing and the realization of new joint projects in many promising areas,” Minister Saidov shared on social media.
In addition to the business engagements, the Uzbek Foreign Minister, alongside his Central Asian counterparts, was received by President Yoon Suk Yeol. The delegation held discussions with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, focusing on enhancing diplomatic and economic cooperation across multiple sectors.
The ministerial visit also marked Uzbekistan’s active participation in the 17th Central Asia–Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum. This forum has been instrumental in fostering dialogue and cooperation between Central Asian nations and South Korea, with a focus on sustainable economic development, cultural exchanges, and technology-driven projects that benefit the entire region.
