Uzbekistan's Minister Kudratov Leads Delegation to Paris for Economic Talks

Paris, The Gulf Observer: An official delegation from Uzbekistan, headed by Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, visited Paris on June 3-4 to strengthen bilateral economic ties, according to media reports. The Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade’s Telegram channel reported that the 10th session of the Uzbek-French Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was convened during the visit, alongside a joint business forum. The forum saw participation from over 80 representatives from the business communities of both nations.

The discussions identified several new and promising areas for mutually beneficial partnerships. Key sectors highlighted included construction materials production, mineral extraction, aviation and automotive manufacturing, green energy, water supply, and the expansion of transportation infrastructure.

The delegation’s visit also featured meetings with prominent French officials and business leaders. Among those met were Bertrand Bouchez, Advisor on Continental Europe and Türkiye to the French President, Victoire Vandeville, Export and Trade Policy Advisor, and French Delegate Minister Franck Riester. The delegation also engaged with executives from major French corporations, including Saint-Gobain, Eramet, Schneider Electric, Renault, Voltalia, Eiffage, Airbus, Orano, and others.

A strong commitment was expressed by both sides to further increase trade-economic, industrial, and investment cooperation. There was also an emphasis on engaging new major French companies in the implementation of joint projects with Uzbek partners.

This visit marks a significant step in enhancing the economic partnership between Uzbekistan and France, promising increased collaboration and development in various key industries.
