Uzbekistan’s Senate and CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Delegation Agree to Deepen Collaborative Initiatives
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan recently hosted a productive meeting with a delegation from the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). During the meeting, Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva underscored the collaborative achievements between the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the CIS parliaments, emphasizing the future direction of these partnerships.
Chairperson Narbayeva highlighted the enhanced cooperation across all spheres within the CIS, stressing the significance of these ties in promoting the well-being of member nations’ populations. She also acknowledged the increasingly active role of parliaments in strengthening these relations, particularly applauding Uzbekistan’s proactive engagement in the Assembly’s initiatives.
Both parties expressed commitment to further enhancing Uzbekistan’s role within the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and agreed to develop new projects to reinforce these efforts. The meeting underscored a shared vision for deepened collaboration, marking a notable step toward comprehensive and sustainable interparliamentary relations across the CIS.
