Vietnamese Embassy in Israel Issues Advisory Amid Escalating Israel-Hezbollah Tensions

Tel Aviv, The Gulf Observer: The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel issued a formal warning to Vietnamese citizens on Sunday, advising them to remain vigilant in light of the increasing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.

In its announcement, the embassy highlighted a stabbing spree that occurred in Holon city, near Tel Aviv, on August 4, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to three others. Local authorities have classified this incident as a terror attack and have predicted a potential rise in criminal activities within the Arab community in Israel, as well as further attacks penetrating deeper into Israeli territory.

Given this context, the embassy has urged the Vietnamese community to:

  • Monitor the situation closely through reliable local media sources.
  • Avoid areas with large gatherings and those susceptible to attacks.
  • Adhere strictly to safety and security measures prescribed by local authorities.
  • Proactively prepare plans to ensure their safety and that of their relatives.

Furthermore, the community has been asked to maintain regular contact with the embassy for support or in case of emergencies.

Previously, on July 30, the embassy recommended safety and security measures for the Vietnamese community following an air attack by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Beirut, Lebanon. The attack targeted Hezbollah’s senior military commander, Fuad Shukr, who was allegedly responsible for a rocket attack in Majdal Shams, located in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Additionally, the National Security Council of Israel issued a warning on August 1, advising Israelis against traveling to approximately 40 countries due to terrorism concerns.

The Vietnamese Embassy continues to prioritize the safety and well-being of its citizens in Israel during these challenging times.
