Vietnam’s PM Attends Rehearsal for Opening of First Spring Fair 2026

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính attended the general rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the first Spring Fair 2026 at the Việt Nam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Đông Anh Commune, Hà Nội, on Sunday afternoon.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn, Head of the Steering Committee for National Fairs; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Trương Thanh Hoài; and representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Hà Nội People’s Committee.
By Sunday afternoon, preparations for the Spring Fair had been largely completed. Goods had been delivered to the exhibition booths, with many booths more than 90 per cent finished and ready for the official opening ceremony scheduled for Monday morning.
In the central area designated for exhibition, promotion, and networking activities, booth frameworks have been fully installed. Decorations, lighting, sound systems, the main stage, and the check-in area are in the final stages of completion. The venue is gradually taking on a vibrant spring-themed appearance, ready to welcome visitors.
According to the organising committee, construction teams are implementing a phased approach following site preparation, simultaneously erecting structures and completing technical systems to shorten timelines while ensuring safety and quality. The progress of each component is being closely monitored on an hourly basis.
The main stage, where the opening ceremony and artistic performances will take place, has been basically completed. The LED screen system has been installed and is undergoing trial runs ahead of the final rehearsal, while art units are also rehearsing for the opening programme.
In areas showcasing OCOP products, regional specialties, and key agricultural products, exhibition booths are clearly taking shape. Many localities have assigned officials to directly oversee booth layouts and coordinate with design units to ensure strong representation of brand identity and local cultural elements.
The “Prosperous Spring” section, implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, features products from major branded enterprises. Meanwhile, the “Vietnamese Agricultural Products – Spreading the Colours of Spring” section, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, has been quickly filled with goods, supported by the ministry’s unified booth construction and decoration. The “Springtime in the Homeland – Products from around the World” section is also rapidly being set up, promising an attractive and diverse visual experience.
The opening ceremony of the first Spring Fair 2026 is scheduled to take place at 9:00 a.m. on February 2, featuring artistic performances by renowned singers including Mỹ Linh, Noo Phước Thịnh, Đông Nhi, Bảo Trâm, and Mỹ Anh.
The first Spring Fair 2026, themed “Connecting Prosperity – Welcoming a Glorious Spring,” is a large-scale national trade promotion event directed by the Government, chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and organised in coordination with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities.
The event will run from February 2 to 13 at the Việt Nam Exposition Centre and is identified as a key highlight in a series of activities aimed at stimulating consumer demand, developing the domestic market, and promoting Vietnamese brands during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
