VIII Meeting of Education Ministers of OTS Held in Azerbaijan’s Shusha
Shusha, The Gulf Observer: On June 1, the VIII Meeting of Education Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Shusha, according to media reports.
Emin Amrullayev, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered the opening speech, welcoming the attendees and highlighting the remarkable achievements of the OTS in a relatively short period.
Expressing the Ministry of Science and Education’s satisfaction in contributing to these pivotal processes, Amrullayev emphasized the importance of youth in establishing sustainable and healthy cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries. He noted that the student exchange programs within the framework of OTS enable schoolchildren to learn about their common history, culture, and traditions.
Amrullayev also mentioned that cooperation within the organization and bilateral relations with OTS member states are successfully ongoing. He praised the construction of schools with the support of fraternal countries in territories liberated from occupation as symbols of friendship and brotherhood between the nations.
Concluding his speech, the minister outlined the goals for the future development of bilateral cooperation with OTS member and observer countries.
Following Amrullayev’s address, other guests spoke about strengthening cooperation in science and education. The meeting then proceeded to discuss the issues on its agenda.
