Wang Yi Emphasizes Role of People-to-People Diplomacy at CPAFFC Conference

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Wang Yi, China’s top diplomat and a prominent member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, underscored the vital role of people-to-people diplomacy in fostering international relations. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 11th National Council conference of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Wang urged the CPAFFC to actively engage in comprehensive, multi-level, wide-ranging, and multifaceted exchanges with foreign nations.
Wang, who also serves as the director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, highlighted the significance of this year as the 70th anniversary of the CPAFFC’s establishment. He emphasized that the CPC has consistently valued people-to-people diplomacy as a critical aspect of its international strategy.
In his address, Wang noted that under the guidance of Comrade Xi Jinping, the CPC Central Committee has promoted people-to-people diplomacy, achieving significant advancements and driving important changes in this field. He stressed the need for the CPAFFC to leverage its role as the primary channel for such diplomacy, aiming to strengthen friendships between the Chinese people and those from other countries, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and support the broader goals of national development.
