Wang Yi Meets with South Korean Parliamentarians’ Union President to Bolster Bilateral Relations

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Kim Tae-nyeon, president of the ROK-China Parliamentarians’ Union, in Beijing on Wednesday to strengthen ties between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK). Wang praised the association’s efforts in fostering friendly relations between the two neighboring countries and stressed the importance of maintaining regular exchanges.
Wang emphasized the mutual achievements of China and the ROK, noting that both nations have contributed significantly to regional peace and prosperity. He underscored that, despite changes in international and regional conditions, the two countries should continue to work closely as good neighbors and partners, building on mutual trust and win-win cooperation to inject new vitality into bilateral relations.
Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, expressed China’s willingness to expand all-round mutually beneficial cooperation with the ROK. He highlighted the importance of defending free trade principles and ensuring the stability and smoothness of global supply chains.
Kim Tae-nyeon, joined by lawmakers from various South Korean political parties, expressed strong support for enhancing China-ROK relations. He emphasized that the ROK-China Parliamentarians’ Union, which includes members from across the political spectrum, reflects the shared commitment to strengthening strategic communication, exploring cooperation potential, and deepening mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to furthering friendly relations and enhancing cooperation in various fields for the benefit of both nations.
