Winners of Day Two of Azerbaijan Open International Alpine Skiing Tournament Honoured

Gusar, The Gulf Observer: The winners of the second day of the “Azerbaijan Open” international alpine skiing tournament have been announced, following competitive races held in the Slalom discipline, organizers said.
The tournament is co-organized by the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation and Shahdag Mountain Resort under the calendar of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
After an intense day of competition, Swiss skier Nikita Anner claimed first place, while Kazakh athlete Dalel Tolkunova secured second place. Georgian skier Nino Tsiklauri finished third.
The two-day international event features 20 female athletes from Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, Georgia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. Azerbaijan is represented in the competition by alpine skier Anastasia Papatoma.
The Azerbaijan Open will continue until January 10, with athletes competing for championship titles in the Slalom and Giant Slalom disciplines.
