Xi to Speak at 70th Anniversary Conference of Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the Conference Marking the 70th Anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and deliver an important speech on June 28 in Beijing. This significant event underscores China’s ongoing commitment to these principles, which have shaped its foreign policy for seven decades.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, a milestone in international diplomacy. To commemorate this occasion, China will hold the conference and other commemorative events on Friday in Beijing, according to an announcement made by foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying on Tuesday.

The Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, originally formulated in 1954, have served as the foundation for China’s international relations, emphasizing mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.

President Xi’s participation and speech at the conference are highly anticipated, reflecting the principles’ enduring relevance and China’s dedication to fostering peaceful and cooperative international relations.
