Zayed Award for Human Fraternity Presented to Laureates in Abu Dhabi with President Aliyev in Attendance

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The awarding ceremony of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The event commenced with the playing of the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by the screening of a video dedicated to the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity.

Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, delivered an opening address. Congratulatory video messages to the laureates were presented by prominent leaders including President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, President Sadyr Zhaparov of Kyrgyzstan, President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon, First Lady Emine Erdoğan of Türkiye, and King Abdullah II of Jordan.

President Ilham Aliyev delivered a speech at the ceremony, which was followed by remarks from Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

Afghan women’s rights activist and researcher Zarqa Yaftali, a laureate of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, also addressed the audience, along with Nabil Qaddumi speaking on behalf of the Palestinian organization “Taawon.”

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity to the laureates by H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a group photo.
