14 killed in Pakistan bus incident
Chakwal, The Gulf Observer: At least 14 people killed and several others sustained injuries in an accident that occurred near Kallar Kahar, an area of Chakwal district, Pakistan according to media reports.
The reports said a bus travelling from Islamabad to Lahore for a wedding ceremony overturned because of a tyre burst in the Kallar Kahar Salt Range area. As a result, 14 passengers died on the spot, whereas 63 people sustained injuries.
The motorway police evacuated the people trapped inside the bus. The rescue operation was continuing till filing of the report, as the lack of visibility at night.
Officials expressed the fear that the death toll could rise.
