Morocco Unveils 2026 National Team Kits Blending Tradition with Modern Design

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Morocco has officially unveiled its new national football team kits for 2026, designed by global sports brand PUMA, combining traditional cultural elements with a modern aesthetic ahead of upcoming international competitions.
The launch forms part of PUMA’s wider global rollout of national team kits, featuring several countries across different continents. However, Morocco has emerged as a standout in the collection, reflecting both its growing football prominence and rich cultural identity.
The new home kit retains Morocco’s iconic red color, symbolizing passion, strength, and national pride. It incorporates green detailing along the sides, inspired by the star on the national flag, while the collar and sleeves feature patterns influenced by traditional Moroccan embroidery, adding a distinctive cultural dimension.
In contrast, the away kit adopts a clean white base complemented by subtle geometric patterns inspired by Moroccan craftsmanship. Red and green accents are also integrated, maintaining a strong connection to the country’s national identity while offering a contemporary look.
According to PUMA, the design philosophy behind the kits is to reflect “the spirit of a nation… the colours, the symbols, the stories,” highlighting Morocco’s cultural narrative alongside its football ambitions.
The collection was first introduced in New York before being released globally. Alongside Morocco, PUMA unveiled kits for several other national teams, including Portugal, Ghana, Senegal, and Egypt. The brand reaffirmed its strong association with Moroccan football, emphasizing both performance innovation and cultural storytelling.
The kits were also presented directly to the Moroccan national team during their training camp, providing what PUMA described as a meaningful engagement with players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Beyond aesthetics, the kits are engineered for high performance, utilizing lightweight materials and advanced sweat-control technology. In line with sustainability goals, replica versions are produced using recycled materials.
Officials noted that the new kits represent Morocco’s image on the global stage, as the national team prepares to showcase both its sporting excellence and cultural heritage in major international tournaments, including the 2026 World Cup.
