16th International Honey Festival Kicks Off in Al-Baha
Al-Baha, The Gulf Observer: Under the patronage of Al-Baha Governor Prince Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the 16th International Honey Festival commenced on Tuesday, July 23. Organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the festival is being held at the Cooperative Association of Beekeepers headquarters in Baljurashi Governorate.
Fahd Al-Zahrani, director general of the ministry’s Al-Baha branch, announced that the festival will run for 14 days, concluding on August 5. This year’s festival will see the participation of 90 beekeepers from seven countries, showcasing a variety of honey products.
Al-Zahrani emphasized that all types of honey exhibited are rigorously tested to ensure quality. Additionally, nine governmental, civil, and voluntary entities are participating in the festival. As one of the most significant agricultural events in the Kingdom, the festival attracts exhibitors and experts from around the world annually.
