17th Azerbaijan–Türkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Kicks Off in Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The 17th Azerbaijan–Türkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting commenced in Baku on December 17, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported.
During the opening session, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Agil Gurbanov, met with a delegation led by Army General Levent Ergün, Second Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye.
Deputy Minister Gurbanov highlighted that relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye remain at a high level across all fields, including the military sphere, and emphasized the importance of further expanding bilateral defense cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
Army General Levent Ergün noted that ongoing meetings and joint activities would continue to intensify, stressing that mutual exchange of experience would strengthen the capabilities of both armed forces.
The dialogue included comprehensive discussions on existing mechanisms of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. At the next stage, the Sub-Working Groups analyzed the current state of bilateral military relations and exchanged views on priority areas for upcoming tasks.
The 17th High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting will continue until December 19, with Sub-Working Group sessions taking place at the International Military Cooperation Department and the National Defense University.
