4th Forum of Analytical Centers “Central Asia – China” to Convene in Tashkent

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The 4th Forum of Analytical Centers “Central Asia – China” will take place today in Tashkent, focusing on “Mutually Beneficial Cooperation on the Path to Shared Prosperity and Sustainable Development,” according to media reports. The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Institute for Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
This forum is part of the practical implementation of the initiative proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan during the May 2023 summit of the Heads of State of China and Central Asian countries in Xi’an.
Over 40 leaders and experts from approximately 20 leading research and analytical centers, along with heads of diplomatic missions from the People’s Republic of China and Central Asian countries in Uzbekistan, will participate in the event.
The forum’s agenda includes discussions on the current state of cooperation between China and Central Asian countries and the prospects for enhancing multilateral cooperation in various fields such as industrial collaboration, digitalization, green economy, transport, logistics, and innovation.
Outcomes of the forum will include the identification of new areas of mutual interest between China and Central Asian countries, the determination of current cooperation priorities, and the development of specific proposals aimed at significantly strengthening multilateral interaction.
