US Vice President J.D. Vance Arrives in Islamabad for High-Stakes Talks on Regional Peace

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: A high-level United States delegation led by J.D. Vance arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to participate in the widely anticipated “Islamabad Talks,” aimed at advancing efforts toward regional peace and stability.
The delegation includes Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and senior advisor Jared Kushner. Upon arrival, the US officials were warmly received by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, and Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi.
Welcoming the US Vice President, Ishaq Dar commended the United States’ commitment to promoting lasting regional and global peace and stability. He expressed optimism that all parties involved in the talks would engage constructively and in good faith.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s continued willingness to facilitate dialogue between the concerned sides, underscoring the country’s desire to help achieve a lasting and durable resolution to the ongoing conflict.
The Islamabad Talks are expected to play a crucial role in shaping diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and fostering long-term peace in the region.
