UAE, Pakistan Interior Ministers Discuss Security Cooperation and Technological Collaboration

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates, held a meeting with Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of Interior and Counter-Narcotics of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting underscored the strong historical ties between the two friendly nations and reaffirmed the commitment of their respective leaderships to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors, particularly in security and counter-narcotics.
Both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions on regional and international issues of mutual concern, focusing on enhancing security coordination and the exchange of expertise. Special attention was given to collaborative efforts in combating drug trafficking and transnational organized crime.
The ministers emphasized the critical role of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, in addressing contemporary security challenges. They stressed the need to harness such technologies to bolster national and regional stability and to ensure the delivery of efficient and proactive security services.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director-General of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Security; Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Federal Anti-Narcotics Department; as well as other high-ranking officers. The Pakistani delegation was accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and Counter-Narcotics.
As part of their visit, Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his delegation were briefed on the operations of the UAE Ministry of Interior’s Customer Visit Monitoring Center. The delegation observed the advanced systems and procedures employed to evaluate police services, monitor customer interactions, enhance employee performance, and provide world-class policing solutions.
The visit marked a significant step toward reinforcing the strategic partnership between the UAE and Pakistan in the field of internal security and law enforcement.
