UAE and Hungary Sign Wide-Ranging Agreements to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Budapest, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Prime Minister of Hungary, His Excellency Viktor Orbán, today witnessed the signing and exchange of multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two countries, aimed at enhancing cooperation across key developmental sectors.

The exchange ceremony, held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Budapest, took place as part of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s official visit to Hungary. The agreements reflect the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen strategic ties and promote collaborative innovation and growth.

The signed agreements span a diverse array of fields, including:

  • Data centres and artificial intelligence projects
  • Green and renewable energy
  • Food security and agricultural development
  • Family and youth policy
  • Government development and modernization
  • Energy storage systems
  • Defence and security cooperation

The UAE delegation included several high-level officials:

  • H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology
  • H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade
  • H.E. Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family
  • H.E. Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet
  • H.E. Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of the Board of Directors, EDGE Group
  • H.E. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO, Mubadala Investment Company
  • H.E. Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Chairman, Eagle Hills Properties

Hungarian ministers and senior officials participated in the exchange on behalf of their respective ministries and institutions.

The agreements are expected to deepen the UAE-Hungary partnership, foster innovation-driven collaboration, and pave the way for impactful joint initiatives in sectors critical to national development and global sustainability.
