Abdullah bin Zayed Meets Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in Abu Dhabi today.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the UAE and Turkmenistan across key sectors, including economic development, trade, investment, and energy.

Strengthening Partnerships in Vital Sectors

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Rashid Meredov’s visit, expressing optimism that it would contribute to advancing cooperation and partnerships in vital areas that align with the development goals of both nations. He praised the strong ties of friendship that unite the UAE and Turkmenistan, underlining the importance of continued collaboration.

Exploring Regional and International Agendas

The discussions extended to joint cooperation within international organisations, with both diplomats reviewing regional and global issues of mutual interest. The exchange of views reaffirmed the commitment of the two nations to work closely in addressing shared challenges and seizing opportunities for mutual benefit.

The meeting was attended by Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
