Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka Encourages Youth Involvement in Nation-Building
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the government’s commitment to offering young people ample opportunities to contribute to nation-building during his address at the opening of the Muhammadiyah Youth Tanwir National Meeting on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, which runs from November 21–23, 2024, and carries the theme “Collaboration of Young Statesmen for Advanced Indonesia,” Vice President Gibran highlighted the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of the nation. “Our President (Prabowo Subianto) gives many opportunities for young people to be creative and show their talents,” he stated.
Gibran noted that President Prabowo’s administration is focused on involving young people, particularly through his Red and White Cabinet. “I count that there are around 10 young people of my age in the Red and White Cabinet, and most of them came from Muhammadiyah,” he added.
With Indonesia’s significant demographic bonus, Vice President Gibran urged the younger generation to harness this opportunity, stressing that it could be a once-in-a-lifetime advantage. He called on youth, especially those from the Muhammadiyah organization, both domestically and internationally, to work hard in pursuit of the Golden Indonesia vision, aiming to position the country as a developed nation by 2045.
“To achieve the Golden Indonesia goal, it will take hard work and discipline,” Gibran remarked, urging young people to support President Prabowo’s vision, which emphasizes sustainable development and youth empowerment.
