Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Meets New Zealand Prime Minister on Sidelines of APEC Forum in Gyeongju

Gyeongju, The Gulf Observer: Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, where the United Arab Emirates is participating as a guest of honour at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the longstanding bonds of friendship and avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the UAE and New Zealand. They emphasized their shared commitment to advancing ties in support of both nations’ mutual interests and sustainable development goals.

The discussions also covered a range of areas of common interest, particularly opportunities for collaboration in the economic and investment sectors, and the exchange of expertise and knowledge across priority fields.

The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince; Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Chairperson of Abu Dhabi Media Office and Advisor of Strategic Relations at the Crown Prince Court; and Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Korea.

The engagement underscored the UAE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and foster constructive dialogue with countries across the Asia-Pacific region, in line with its vision of promoting global economic cooperation and sustainable growth.
