Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week to Commence On Monday

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week (ADGHW) is poised to commence on Monday in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Themed “accelerating the future of global healthcare,” the landmark event is scheduled from May 13th to 15th, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), heralding a pivotal moment for the global healthcare and life sciences community.
Hosted by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulatory body overseeing the healthcare sector in the Emirate, ADGHW will serve as an unparalleled platform for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange among an esteemed assembly of healthcare stakeholders. The event is expected to draw 5,000 attendees, including 1,000 delegates, 200 speakers, and 100 exhibitors, comprising leaders, researchers, policymakers, specialists, investors, and entrepreneurs from across the globe.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), emphasized the event’s focus on driving collaboration and exploring transformative initiatives to address critical healthcare challenges. ADGHW aims to foster a bold conversation on proactive healthcare delivery, with a spotlight on priority topics such as ageing populations, non-communicable diseases, mental health, and other common health challenges.
Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of M42, expressed pride in serving as the Foundation Partner for ADGHW, underscoring M42’s commitment to revolutionizing global health through innovative technologies such as genomics and AI. Similarly, Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer at PureHealth, highlighted Abu Dhabi’s position as a global healthcare benchmark and PureHealth’s role as the National Healthcare and Longevity Champion for ADGHW.
The event’s agenda features the Health Leaders Forum, attracting around 200 VIPs including ministers, CEOs, investors, and experts to tackle global health changes and challenges. Additionally, the Future Health Summit will host keynote speeches, panel sessions, and discussions on themes central to the healthcare industry, spanning Artificial Intelligence (AI), regenerative medicine, genomics, and precision medicine.
