Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Authority for People of Determination Unveils 2026 Strategy to Empower Inclusive Society
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Zayed Authority for People of Determination has launched its 2026 strategy, aligned with the vision of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, during an extended staff meeting, marking a major milestone in the Authority’s ongoing efforts to empower People of Determination.
Abdullah Al Humaidan, Director-General of the Zayed Authority, stated that the new strategy focuses on social, educational, and professional integration, while fostering partnerships to sustain services and advance Abu Dhabi’s vision of an inclusive society.
He emphasized that, guided by the leadership’s directives, the Authority will collaborate with government entities, the private sector, and civil society to develop initiatives supporting families of People of Determination, promoting equal opportunities and expanding participation across all sectors.
The strategy is structured around four key areas:
- Comprehensive care and education – delivering inclusive programmes for People of Determination and their families.
- Vocational training and employment – ensuring access to jobs and financial independence.
- Community engagement – involving People of Determination in cultural, social, and sports activities, alongside family support and awareness initiatives.
- Institutional competitiveness – developing human capital, optimising resources, and investing in innovation and partnerships.
The 2026 strategic priorities include maintaining and enhancing ongoing services, reviewing mandates and organisational structures, expanding care and rehabilitation programmes, strengthening vocational training, engaging families and the wider community, raising awareness of rights and capabilities, and fostering human resource development while advancing innovation to ensure sustainable, high-quality services.
The Authority also affirmed that the strategy incorporates robust governance mechanisms to monitor performance and track key indicators, enhancing transparency and ensuring outcomes. It further emphasizes institutional flexibility and risk management to guarantee continuity of services and ongoing quality improvement.
