ADB President Masato Kanda Visits Colombo Port During Official Sri Lanka Tour

Colombo, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by its President Masato Kanda, visited the Colombo Port as part of a three-day official tour of Sri Lanka.

The delegation was received and escorted by Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation W.W.S. Mangala and Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman Dr. Parakrama Dissanayake. Senior officials of the SLPA were also present during the visit.

The tour provided the ADB delegation with an overview of port operations and ongoing development initiatives, reflecting Sri Lanka’s strategic focus on strengthening its maritime infrastructure and enhancing regional connectivity.

The visit underscores continued cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Asian Development Bank in advancing key infrastructure projects and supporting sustainable economic growth in the country.
