Al-Ashkharah Winter Forum to kick off tomorrow

Al-Ashkharah Winter Forum

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Al-Ashkharah Winter Forum will start from tomorrow, January 24, 2023, with the aim of highlighting the role of Omani youth in voluntary work and promoting Omani heritage. 

The forum will last for 5 days in the public theater of the Municipality Park in Al Ashkharah. It comes with the aim of highlighting the role of Omani youth in voluntary work and promoting the authentic Omani heritage, as well as supporting productive families in the wilayat, and pays attention to various children’s programmes and general cultural competitions, and stimulates winter tourism movement, due to the potential of Al Ashkharah, which is an attractive tourist destination.

Mohammed bin Sultan Al Batini, the general supervisor of the forum, explained that the forum includes many programmes, various social, artistic and recreational activities, including exhibits for families and craftsmen, a tent of heritage and poetry, stories of the past, horse and camel riding, as well as an open exhibition of photos from the Niyabat Al-Ashkhara. The forum also includes folk arts, children’s competitions and games, plays, and an artistic evening performed by a group of Omani poets and artists.

It is worth noting that this forum is organised by the Al Ashkhara Volunteer Team in cooperation with the Municipality of Jalan Bani Bu Ali and the Omani Women’s Association of the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali.
